My name is Hilary Busing. I have been a Registered Midwife since 2014, having trained and worked in the UK before coming to BC in 2016. Since then I have practiced midwifery in Victoria, Nanaimo and Cowichan. I continue to work as a locum midwife while providing lactation support throughout southern Vancouver Island.

I have a deep interest in postpartum care and supporting the transition to motherhood, which is why I qualified as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2019. I had two very different experiences breastfeeding my own daughters, and benefited from skilled support each time.

 

I have particular interests in painful latch, tongue tie, reflux and allergies in breast- and formula-fed babies. Whatever challenges you may face, I'd love to help you meet your feeding goals.
